Spencer Robson - Lands End to John O'Groats Cycle

by Gill Williams - 21:47 on 16 June 2016

Lovely owner of B&B last night took pity on me and did my washing including my trainers. Brave woman, not even her dogs would go near them! Anyway set off today you guessed it.... in the rain etc etc...My poor bike is taking a hammering due to the weather.  Limped into Kidderminster today with a big slice through the front tire. A visit to Halfords later and my bike had new boots fitted and is ready for action.

Went through some magical old villages and canals again, Rural England is such a special place.  Stopped for food at a posh garden centre where I was looked at with disgust by one woman as I walked through the door. I just smiled and gave her a wink and she tutted and looked away... Still got it..Yeh. Now ended up in the Premier Inn waiting for the hairdryer to dry my trainers and the England game to kick off only to find out I'm four hours late!

Up early tomorrow and will hopefully get some miles in if the weather finally behaves and those paths dry out.

Its time to put my hand in my pocket and donate money to the cause you are doing this all for. Got yo admire your dedication. Still think you are crazy, hope you are still managing to enjoy the experience. Keep it going your another day closer to the finish line mate. Best wishes Scott Kaye & Niamh x
